State Guest Bedroom

The "State Guest Bedroom" is the official room where overnight guests stay at the Governor's Mansion. This room provides a comfortable stay for guests doing business or simply visiting our great state of Florida. The painting of President Andrew Jackson on display reminds visitors of his connection to Florida history. Andrew Jackson first led Florida; later becoming the 7th president of the United States.

Portrait of Andrew Jackson

Painting of Andrew Jackson by Stapko

A portrait of Andrew Jackson hangs above the chest-on-chest in the guest bedroom at the Governor's Mansion. The painting is a modern version of a portrait painted in 1835 by Asher B. Durand.

Canopy Beds

The twin mahogany beds in the guest bedroom evoke the late 18th-century theme of the room. They are reproductions in the Sheraton style that was quite popular in America at the time.
