Sous and Pastry Chef

Carin Butler joined the Governor's Mansion staff on a part-time basis in October 2008 and assumed her position as Sous and Pastry Chef in January 2011. Trained as a Baking and Pastry Chef at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA, Carin also worked at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu affiliate school while a student there. She brings a great deal of experience and organizational skills based upon her background in restaurant and food service management. She and Chef Minas work collaboratively each day to provide fresh, creative, and healthy cuisine for the Governor, First Lady, and their guests.
